Thanks CCC for a great season, once again. I continue to be impressed year after year with how much the series has grown, flawless execution at every race, officials, scoring, Kenny as announcer is one in a million, the various teams that support CX, and most importantly, my fellow competitors. These guys know how to race hard, up your game, make you try your best, feel great when you win, and feel great for them when they do. It’s been a pleasure, and look forward to next year. Congrats Jarrod, you deserve the win. Great race! Video coming soon…
Very kind note Kenny. And as always, it was a pleasure having you there animating the races/racers and keeping everyone informed and on track. WELL DONE SIR!
Kenny, I think you do a terrific job and add a great vibe to every race. You’re always upbeat in the way you announce the races and you have a knack for making them interesting and exciting. But my favorite is the way you announce the arrival of middle, back of the pack riders. I watched you standing along the finishing straight yesterday (in that cold, wet snow) looking up riders names as they passed you and then calling them out as they got to the finishing line. Totally cool and appreciated!
Keep up the great work Kenny!
I agree! My son joined the juniors 15-18 mid season and we talked about how cool it would be to some day hear his name while he was racing, then he did the very next race! You do an amazing job, it adds so much to the event!
Couldn’t agree more. Thanks Kenny… Great job to you, Jason and all at CCC for making the series so successful and fun. Always hear nice comments from the Wisconsin racers.
If anyone picked up a pair of discarded Pearl Izumi shoe covers please let me know. I took them off during the 4s race and forgot to go back for them. Thanks!
if you are unable to find them, I can help you out with a friends and family discount code. maybe it was time for a new pair of our Pearl iZumi WxB shoecovers anyways 😉
Hi Derek,
I scoured the start finish area during course tear down and did not find any shoe covers. They may have been buried in the snow. and I couldn’t see them.
I think I saw them on the ground in that section by the trees immediately after coming off Cricket Hill…didn’t pick them up assuming you’d come back for them. I may be down there tomorrow and will take a look if I am!
I saw/heard someone pick one up during my warm up after the 1/2/3 race…unfortunately, I did not know them so this isn’t very helpful to you other than the fact that it was picked up and hopefully its yours/they return it. Good luck
I know it’s after the fact but does the 500 come with a loop and a tether cord? my 520 does and I always tether it to the bars so worst case scenario it just dangles there. Good luck finding it.
Enjoyed your video of the race (as with earlier races) until you lapped me at approx 24:27 of your race 🙂 (I was in the bottom bracket of the 55+). Great race, great season. Good times. Thanks to all.
The photos from this season will serve as reminders of the laughs we shared, wounds we dressed, and the accomplishments we celebrated. Thank you all for being a part of the 2016 Chicross Cup season with us.
Did anyone find a navy with pink stripe Rapha winter cap? Mine seems to have not made it home. Likely it was in the general area of the turns by the hot tub and Spider Monkey/Heritage supertent

Ken great year competing with you though you pass me like I am standing still…..100% agreed with everything you said!!!! Great write up!
Naw you’re up there too, Tom. Lotta players mixing it up this year. You’ll come out even stronger next year. See ya soon!
Took a few photos at the end of Cat 1/2/3 and beginning of Cat 4. Best ones are definitely the hot tub hand-outs. https://flic.kr/s/aHskJ4eubg

Cat 4/5 – just couldn’t stay upright in the final turns.

In awe of every racer yesterday.
Blown away by the strength and passion of this community, on and off the bike.
Proud and thankful to be a part of it.
Too much attention comes my way because of the visibility of the position. Many bring much!.

An ineletiglnt answer – no BS – which makes a pleasant change

That would be amazing Liz. Thank you so much.
Any chance someone picked up a red Garmin 500? It got lost during one of my spills during the beginning of the Cat. 3 race.

A little more training next year and you can just sit on our wheels next time! Way to hold your line. Hope you had a good race.
Short video about the event https://youtu.be/vQhLJxYAVPA
Would have been longer but my camera suffered some problems due to the weather. Had an awesome time at my first event.
Are you Patton’s friend or something
Yeah, what gives? That guy is a menace. Look at him… smiling… being all charming. Makes me sick.
(Good video, though!)
:dab:
I rented out his beard especially for the event

A big thank you to everyone who came out and braved the elements at Montrose. This was a race that will not soon be forgotten.

Is anybody missing a very muddy yellow tent side panel?
We have all four for the yellow George Garner tent.
